1月に、中学、高校それぞれで、来年度の生徒会役員の選挙が行われました。
各クラスの委員で構成される監査局がその運営にあたり、選挙公報も発行されます。
全生徒の集まる演説会の後、投票が行われ、即日開票されました。

On January 28 during long homeroom, J1 students held their recitation day in the JG main
auditorium. This is an important annual event for first year students. The students practiced long
and hard for the event, and were happy to have their parents in the audience.
Two students were chosen to be masters of ceremonies and they did an excellent job.
All of the students in each of the five homeroom classes performed the following stories.

Class A: The Gift of the Magi
Class B: Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Class C: Cinderella
Class D: Hansel and Gretel
Class E: The Christmas Tree

Then, two students (ten students in all) from each class recited the following poems:

Boa Constrictor
18 Flavors
Open Close
No Difference
The Wind

Everyone was pleased with the students’ performances.

To finish off a perfect program, all of the students and some of the audience joined in singing
“Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles.
